We celebrated the Winter Solstice by taking a stroll through the Chesapeake campus Christmas lights in OKC. Sammers went bananas - he loved loved loved it.

Daily Sam
Sammers met Santa again this morning. He seemed a little trepidatious about it so we were able to avoid a meltdown by all sitting in Santa's lap together. Poor Santa.

Daily Sam
Our cousins from Kentucky were in Tulsa this weekend so we drove up on Saturday to meet them for lunch. Sammers did get to meet these same cousins earlier this summer while they were town but was definitely more excited to see the boys this time. The visit was way too short but it was such a treat.
...and I thought trying to get one munchkin to sit still for a picture was a chore. With three little men it's nearly impossible!

Daily Sam
Sammers isn't quite old enough for Elf on the Shelf or other Advent activities, so we wrapped up our Christmas books and he will open one every day until Christmas.
Full disclosure: yes, I saw it on Pinterest ;)
So excited!
What a difference a month makes! He has the unwrapping thing mastered, just in time for Christmas.
And now we'll get to read it 78 times before we unwrap the next book tomorrow...

Daily Sam
Sam's friend Tuk brought his parents over for dinner last night. The boys were great. They played together so well and even shared some hugs and high fives and lots of giggles.

Sammy's First Earthquake!
Wowzers! It was so freaky, our whole house shook for almost a minute; it woke Sammers up, too. After review by the USGS it was measured at a magnitude of 5.6, the largest ever in Oklahoma.
I think this description from "Amy" might be the best one I saw. This is an earthquake, Okie Redneck style:
And even better, some live video of the quake as it happens! Poor little Kirk...

Trick or Treat
The Big Bad Wolf went trick-or-treating last night with our favorite Super Heroes:
Of course, the best stop of the night was Mama Jo's house!
