Baby's first shots :(
As you can see, not nearly as traumatic as I had feared. Sam screamed once and then fell asleep on dad's shoulder. Whew!
His stats are currently: 23.5 inches (50th percentile), 13.5 pounds (75th percentile) and head is 16.1 inches (66th percentile). He doesn't weigh as much as we had expected (feared?) so we're feeling really great about his progress and the doctor seemed pleased.

Two Months Old
I have some catching up to do...8 week pics, Christmas pics, Baby Jesus pics...but here are some 2 month old pictures from this morning. I cannot believe we have a two month old!
Sam is starting to smile a lot - it's so great. He loves listening to music, especially classical music; he gets super excited and kicks his legs then lies really still to listen. He tries to talk to us all the time and his favorite word is "goo". Sam never met a ceiling fan he didn't like; thank goodness we have them in every room! He is trying so hard to suck his thumb, just hasn't quite figured it out yet. He's still eating great, goes to sleep easily and even likes to have alone time in his swing. He really might be the perfect baby.

Baby's First Rock Show
Sam went to his very first rock show this morning - of course it was one of daddy's!
SFA played a morning show at Uptown Kids, a new local kids boutique (which allowed mommy to sneak in a little Christmas shopping, too).
Sam slept through the first part of it...
but then woke up and was so sweet and happy to be there!

Baby's First Celebrity Sighting
Uncle Adam went as Peewee Herman to his church's 80s themed Christmas party (yes, he won a prize for his efforts). He stopped by our house on his way to the party to teach Sam how to do the Peewee dance.
