Happy 1st Father's Day, Wiser. You're welcome for birthing your son. It wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done but so totally worth it. I knew you would be a great daddy but I have to admit I underestimated just how tender and kind and doting you would be.
Watching you be Samuel's Daddy has created in me new levels of appreciation and admiration and affection (and apparently alliteration) for you. I savor the moments I get to just watch you and him, playing together, teaching and learning from each other. I mourn that my dad never got to meet our sweet boy but I have no doubt that everything that was wonderful about my dad exists in you and you will make sure that Samuel learns to treasure the same things Mike did.
